D.A.R.E!! Development is an ISO 9001:2000 certified research and development laboratory. Our company is specialized in high-end RF applications ranging from DC till 40 GHz for military as well as civil use.

Multidisciplinary
Our team of hardware engineers and software engineers is highly capable executing multidisciplinary projects containing one or more of the following elements:

• Digital Electronics, including embedded processors
• Analogue Electronics
• RF Electronics
• Analogue optical transmission (fiber coupled or free space)
• Communication, including RS232, USB, FireWire, RS422, GP-IB
• Embedded programming
• PC programming, including C++, Visual Basic

Our engineers have at their disposal all the necessary software tools and development environments for these processor lines.

State of the Art
Our experienced engineers use State of the Art development equipment varying from a 40 GHz Rohde and Schwarz measurement receiver and the latest network analyzer to the high-end Advanced Design System (ADS) simulation and design software.

Achievements
Following are some examples of projects carried out by D.A.R.E!! Development.

RF Amplifiers
Examples of our achievements are power amplifiers from 25–5,000 kW both solid state and tube based at frequencies ranging from 40 MHz till 40 GHz.

Receivers
We have designed and build coherent receivers using DSP technology in the range from 40 MHz till 40 GHz.

LASER applications
Several free space and fiber-coupled LASER applications ranging up to 1 W LASER output power have been engineered and produced.

Antenna design
We simulated and designed a custom made three band GSM antenna meant to be integrated in a consumer appliance. Available space was limited while the appliance only left room for a specific shape. At the same time the housing influenced the antenna performance. Engineers at D.A.R.E!! Development were able to design an efficient antenna while coping with all the limiting factors.

Automotive Board computers
Engineers at D.A.R.E!! Development designed and developed several board computers for passenger cars as well as public transportation.

Multidisciplinary
A custom designed inter modulation test system consisting of 24 separate dual band oscillator combined with 24 separate 100 W power amplifiers in the 900 MHz and 1.800 MHz band were developed. This included the communication with the oscillators as well as the embedded controllers of the oscillators and the control software on a Windows PC.

CE Marking
The co-operation with D.A.R.E!! Consultancy ensures CE Marking and Type Approval issues are well taken care of. D.A.R.E!! Consultancy is an accredited test house for EMC, Automotive, R&TTE, Medical and product safety. Besides this the company is a Competent Body for EMC, a Notified Body for the Low Voltage Directive and a technical service for the Automotive Directive. At our laboratory we have our own climate chamber to investigate temperature and humidity effects on our developed products. Temperatures between –40^o C and 150^o C can be achieved. Our EMC laboratory can test the equipment to international standards and directives. In our product safety laboratory products can be examined according to international product safety standards and the European Low Voltage Directive.
